September has properly set in, and as the contest support in the Sphere Online Judge matures from alpha-stage to release quality, we would like to invite you to participate in the VI-th edition of the DASM Programming League: http://liga.sphere.pl1

The league will really start on October 9, and by that time it ought to have evolved into a fully-fledged public SPOJ contest, and should feature new, hopefully original problems. In the meantime, participants of the league are encouraged to solve the warm-up problems from the SPOJ archives.

This is also a good moment to discuss and possibly alter this year's rules, and in particular - the scoring model for challenge problems (it may possibly be adopted in other contests, if it works out fine). If you would like to contribute to the discussion, please feel welcome to add your post to the forum.

Hello ! I want just to give my simple idea . Will it be possible some Analysis to be written after the set time ends , for example 09.10 - 27.10 ( Set #1 ) , and some time after 27.10 there to be some Analysis on the site ? solutions or something like this .. probably it will be useful even to give some chapters from books to refer . If this is too hard to do ( because writing Analysis is not just as easy and takes some time) probably there can be a place in the forum where the solutions and problems can be discussed ? Thank you .

Hello & thank you for your suggestions.

Yes, this can probably be arranged. I think it would be easiest if the problem setter were to write a short description of the model solution + references to literature, while contestants with the best accepted solutions could be invited to share their source code with the public (if they saw fit). Solutions could then be discussed by everyone in a dedicated forum.

Hi smile The first problemset was wonderful . I now just want to ask the administrators ( which make great work ! ) to devote a part in the forum and I also beg the best coders to describe some of their algorithms for the problems . I think exchanging of experience will be interesting and useful for everyone. Thank You ! smile

Please sorry me . I meant for example a topic " Problem Set 1 " to be made , or all the problems .. - like PHRASES for example . Thank you again smile
