I was looking at the list of supported languages and found that SPOJ still does not support Rust as a language choice.

Rust has a growing community, following are Github stats related to Rust.

Rust-lang repository -> github.com/rust-lang/rust6 -> Stars(6935), Forks(1351)

Total github repositories in Rust -> 2179

Considering Rust is quite new and yet to hit version 1.0, this can be said to be a large community.

I suppose, we should consider adding Rust to SPOJ.

Rust will already be at version 1.2 next month. Isn't it time it was added to SPOJ? Considering how many of the problems emphasize speed, wouldn't it make sense to support any of the somewhat-popular languages that are, you know--fast ???

xhevahir, sarveshseri, can you email contact@spoj.com1 asking to support Rust? I emailed them two months ago about this, and they said it depends on the number of requests they get. Let us know if they respond to your request.
