Hello.

I've made such an extension:

Not only it monitors user's rank from one of 7 available contests, but it also can display a table with ranks of up to 5 users from any of these 7 contests.
I won't dwell on the details as it's all described in the link.

As for the implementation, if it's possible to get all users ranks from one page (like e.g. on SHORTEN), I download it only once.
All data is stored in cookies so you have to enable them.
Technologies used: jQuery, Bootstrap.

I'm attaching the source.
I'm all for OSS but I didn't want to publish it right away as somebody could change the colors, reupload it and get more users. And now that as many as 11 users installed it I am unsurpassable!

There are some unnecessary files which I've removed before uploading the file to Webstore.

If you have any suggestions - please share. I'm most interested in a way to make it faster to get all ranks to display in the table (it takes a lot if there are more than 2 of them).

BTW The extension didn't work for me lately (and for one more user) until I've updated Chrome. So if you have and problems I suggest you do that.
