Go had reached its first stable version in 2012.
I think it's appropriate to update the go compiler now.

Second request. It is a really new language, you can see a speedup of even 100, what you can rarely see in the very old languages.

I third the request for a more recent Go compiler. Speed aside, some built-ins like 'append' are not in the SPOJ version. 1.0 or 1.1 would be nice if someone has time.
