C++ AC code gets NZEC in C

The problem is this: spoj.pl/problems/DRAWM/

I submitted a solution in C++ and it got AC, i wondered how fast could it be in C, so i submitted it, and Surprise, i got NZEC error, what could have happened? AFAIK i cannot post AC codes here, so i cannot show what is exactly the problem, i just wanna know if anyone have had the same problem, thanks. PD: The code is EXACTLY the same for both submissions.

Make sure you have proper mechanism to return 0 ( NZEC = non zero exit code ).

Oh! that was exactly what happened, i added a return 0 at the end and worked, thanks, i guess that's because in c++ the return 0 is not mandatory, apparently in C it is, thanks.

In both c++ and c main should return an integer. On SPOJ judge that integer should be 0.

Actually, it seems that in C++ the return is "automatic", i don't need to put it, i dont know why, but it compiles and runs succesfully without the return 0, even without the int in "int main (){". I know these aren't good practices at programming, i just got used to it.

If you dont put return statement then the value left in the register( due to execution of some statement ) is taken as the value returned by the main function. It is usually defined in the compiler how to handle such situation.
