HI all,
I would like to introduce Codechef SnackDown 2015. This is one of its kind event, aimed at competitive coders from India, but we encourage programmers from all over the world to take part ( you can read more about CodeChef here: http://www.codechef.com/aboutus/ ).
A summary of the rules:
1)Team of upto 2 members from the same institution or organization (yeah professionals are also eligible).
2)There will be 3 online qualification rounds from which 500 teams each will advance to the elimination round. You only have to advance from one of the 3 rounds. In the elimination round, only top 25 will proceed to the finals. These 4 rounds are online.
3) The finals will be an onsite event to be held at Directi (which runs codechef) headquarters in Mumbai, India

Schedule:
First online Round: 23rd May, 14:30 to 16:30 IST
Second online Round: 30th May, 6:30 to 8:30 IST
Third online Round: 7th June, 21:30 to 23:30 IST
Elimination Round: 13th June, 19:30 to 21:30 IST
Finals: 27th June
Prizes: Indian teams:
-> 1st Prize: 3 Lakhs + Job offer with Directi + Goodies
-> 2st Prize: 2 Lakhs + Job offer with Directi + Goodies
-> 3st Prize: 1 Lakhs + Job offer with Directi + Goodies
Rest of the world:
-> 1st Prize: Macbook Pro for team members
-> 2nd Prize: Drone Quadcopters for team members
-> 3rd Prize: Go Pro Cameras for team members
Apart from the top-3 teams, there are T-shirts and goodies for the top-25 teams selected for the on-site finals
